Higher Learning Day Habilitation

Grow in the Higher Learning Program

The Higher Learning Day Habilitation is a new concept in offering individuals an opportunity to grow socially or vocationally if they so choose.

If a person with special needs has just graduated high school, a BOCES program or needs to enhance social skills, or they simply desire a higher level of learning and independence, this program may suit those needs. Three classroom environments focus on academics, culinary skills, computer skills, and the arts. Participants take part in community integration activities including cultural events, shopping trips, restaurants, museums, and college campuses. Social needs may be addressed in counseling or behavior support plans.
