Providing Vocational Training and Job Coaching for those with Special Needs
The Integrated Business Center (IBC) works in conjunction with the Department of Education’s Adult Continuing Career and Education Services- Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR), Office with People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and Office of Mental Health (OMH). Participants receive the support required to reach their goals.
Participants receive the care and attention they need to become successful with vocational goals and aspirations.
Diagnostic and Assessment Services
Maryhaven measures employment aptitude and explores interests through a discovery process. This is a 10-day evaluation, which leads to recommendations for future employment goals.
Prevocational Services: Site-based and Community-Based
Prevocational services are offered by Medicaid to assist individuals to develop and acquire soft skills such as following directions, attending to task, task completion, problem-solving, safety and adjustment to social demands in the workplace, leading to the obtainment and sustainment of employment in the community.

Competitive Employment
Maryhaven offers placement and job coaching services to program participants who are interested in pursuing competitive employment. Staff provide support to assist individuals to attain and maintain employment of their choice. Successful employment placements have been made with Applebee's, Burger King and e-Green Recycling Management, just to name a few.
Pre-Employment Training Services (Pre-ETS)
Maryhaven works with ACCES-VR and various school districts to prepare students age 14 and up for career exploration and post- secondary planning.
