Assistant Residential Manager (ARM)
Assists in the day-to-day operation of the residence in accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policy and quality program standards. Encourages the development of independence, individualization, integration and productivity of the residents. Follows AMAP and SCIP-r procedures and maintains current certifications, as program requires.
Education and Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required and one to two years’ experience with ID/DD population preferred.
2. Drive agency vehicles safely, obeying NYS law. Maintain valid NYS driver’s license within agency criteria required.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Starting at $20/hr
Promotes a warm nurturing environment in which to live while supervising each resident in the development of social, recreation, ADL and independent living skills and overall community integration.
Education and Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma/GED required.
2. Maintain valid NYS driver’s license within agency criteria required.
Quality Improvement Specialist
Previews in-house programs to ensure maximum compliance with regulations; focus towards ensuring quality of care for the service recipients through guidance and assisting site staff. Participates in investigative procedures and techniques in accordance with federal/state and agency guidelines. Keeps Senior Director of QI and Compliance, Director of QI and Compliance and Executive Director apprised of all incidents.
Education and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
2. Three (3) - five (5) years’ experience with the OPWDD population.
3. Knowledge of regulations and regulatory compliance.
4. Knowledge of program audit process.
5. Investigative experience preferred.
6. Strong computer skills required, excel experience preferred.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Ensures nursing services, which include distribution of medication, emergency triage, first aid and follow-up as needed. Provides individual/staff health education, acts as a liaison with appropriate care providers and doctors as needed, all in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Education and Qualifications:
1. NYS RN license required.
2. One (1) to two (2) years of experience with the mentally and/or physically challenged population.
3. Knowledge of acceptable nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and agency policy.
4. Maintain a valid NYS driver’s license within agency criteria required.
